Today 2 month ago Buddy’s injury happened and when you compare him now with his being 2 month ago he is at such a much better place!
We went today to see Joanna Milan. She is Veterinarian and we went to her in the first place to get an osteopathic treatment for Buddy. When you want to know more about osteopathy: http://www.osteopathy.org.au/ She is very calm and competent and I can recommend her for 100%.Her treatment shows already an effect on Buddy’s walking. I got her address from Rowena, the Veterinarian who is since the beginning giving Buddy the acupuncture treatment: www.acupaws.com.au Rowena’s treatment is intense, competent and so visible in Buddy after the acupuncture. Joanna felt that Buddy although he is walking with all his legs and is playing again with his ball still has an weakness form the middle of his back till his hind legs. He puts the most of his force on his legs in the front. She gave him a treatment and Buddy slept the whole afternoon and is totally relaxed. Wonderful is that Joanna also gave him a flower essence mixture specially mixed for Buddy. I will put in my blog the next time an picture of Buddy and Joanna . Her email address is joannamilan@hotmail.com Her mobile phone number is 0431985287 and her clinic is in Coolbellup WA. She also offers:
We still continue with the massaging and the physiotherapy exercises the neurologist gave us every day. Today I realised that Buddy was very nervous when we were by Joanna .He needs a trauma therapy and I will do this in the next days with him. There was more then only the injury happening for him! Deep down in him is the trauma of being injured and the uncertainty what happens now when he sees a veterinarian. Buddy loved the aqua training in the Ocean Reef Veterinary Clinic: www.oceanreefvet.com.au He could be in the pool and swim and got a massage and exercises before and after and had fun and used his muscles in a positive and happy way. See the picture :) We don’t continue with the aqua training because the temperature is cooler and Buddy fur stays for a long time wet and this is not good for his joints. I think it is very important in such a process to be in a close and mind full contact with your animal and feel what he /she needs and likes. I want to thank here everyone who was and still is of a support for Buddy and also for me. It is a journey and we are still on this journey and I look positive forward!
