![]() Many of you might wonder whether or not I had communicated with Cecil, to answer that question no I did not however I had followed the developments with the murder of Cecil. Today I watched an emotional video of Jericho, the brother of Cecil. If you are interested you can click the ““Link”. You don’t have to be an animal communicator to see the emotions that are portrayed by Jericho of sadness and uncertainty. For many of us it is hard to believe that animals feel the same emotions as we do when they lose a fellow being which they were close to. This popular believe that we differ and are superior to other living beings I reject based on experience of other animal communicators, research and my own experience. I can only imagine how the pups and females of Cecil must feel as the pups are on their own and might get killed at any stage by another dominant male seeking to take Cecil’s place. When I learned of the death of Cecil I was sad but also felt that this killing should not be without a “meaning”. This should be the turning point of people “accepting” the hunting and killing of animals. We have to focus, not looking away and bring in from now on safety for animals! We are destroying nature and living things surrounding us. Being on the top of the food chain comes with responsibility to protect and preserve. Nature does not need us to survive, but we are dependent on it. We can bring the change in the world. The United Nations stated in a report that the fate of nature lies in our hands! Endangered wildlife is under attack and Cecil’s story prompted the United Nations to draft a resolution restricting the illicit wildlife trafficking. It’s one to draft a resolution but it is another to actually implement it. It is up to each and every one of us to support the restriction of wildlife trafficking and abuse. For more information visit the following “Link”. It is a matter of awareness which determines how a society looks at nature. In some parts of the world the animals we perceive as humans best friends or as cute are a pest or meal in another part of the world. In Japan dolphins are slaughtered and in India they are labelled as non-human persons. There are wide gaps between the respect and awareness in the world. Every year hundreds of species go extinct. A century ago there were over 200’000 wild lions roaming in the African savannah, today it is estimated that there are up to 30’000 lions in the African wilderness and the numbers keep plunging as we erode their habitat and kill them for fun. I don’t want this blog to protect solely lions around the world but all the living things which are victims to our inhumane actions. I am sorry Cecil that you had to die.. I promise in special to you that with my vision and my work animals will live in dignity and get respected ! Rest in peace Cecil.
